These quality aftermarket engine mounts for the Volvo Penta 2003 engine have been designed solely for Parts4engines in close collaboration with a large European OE manufacturer and have been subject to our rigorous quality control procedures. They offer a significant cost saving in comparison to the Volvo OE part.
Fitting the correct type of mount for the weight and use of your engine is crucial in not only maintaining structural safety, but also in reducing to a minimum the transmission of engine vibration through to the hull. There are three different engine mount shore ratings (this is the rubber stiffness) used on the Volvo Penta 2003 and these are marked on the mount with a coloured 'dot'.
- 'Blue dot' - Rear mount equivalent to Volvo Penta part number 838262
- 'Yellow dot' - Front mount equivalent to Volvo Penta part number 840845
- 'Brown dot' - Rear mount (for use with PRM Gear box) equivalent to Volvo Penta part number 858455
Note that when replacing rear engine mounts (gearbox versions) the original base plate and height adjuster stud should be removed from the old mounts and reused on our new mounts.

VOLVO PENTA 2003 ENGINE MOUNT
I haven't had a chance to fit these yet but they seem pretty good out of the box so I don't see any problem with them. Even if they only last half as long as a genuine Volvo part thet'd still be worth it as they are only a quarter of the price!
